    Edges (Human)

    Edges are abilities for Human characters that give them an...edge...in combat. They are activated by feeling the following categories of emotion, Mercy, Zeal, and Vision, to certain degrees. The human spirit is a horrendous and powerful beast, not to be trifled with. You'd basically choose any 3 lines from the three major emotions and those can be used. Note that level 5 powers are extremely powerful essentially Deus Ex Machina abilities.

    Mercy

    Innocent
    • Hide - As long as he doesn't make any regular-level sound, move quickly, or making contact the human goes unnoticed for the scene. Once a creature is aware of his presence, however, it doesn't forget, and if one notices you so do the others. This does not work on Humans.
    • Illuminate - See in any darkness without light. Creatures exposed see the Hunter as emitting a bright light that washed over them.
    • Radiate - Makes your human harder to hit accurately.
    • Confront - Staring an opponent directly in the eye and don't move. They view you as all that they see as "holy" or "worthy" and so attacking or acting against you is terrible. It lasts as long as you can keep their gaze.
    • Blaze - Pick any light source you can see. It suddenly engulfs the target in a similar type of fire for damage. A torch would obviously do less damage than a blazing forest inferno for instance.


    Martyr
    • Payback - LEVEL 5, To Impose a Human Limitation OR Deny Them a Supernatural Ability


    Redeemer
    • Bluster - Shout "STOP!" at anything with line of sight and it stops moving. Fists, cars, bullets, daggers, anything.
    • Insinuate - Your character has to ask one question of the thing, and the question is largely unimportant (usually "Do you remember?") and the creature is washed over with emotion. The creature is confronted with long-forgotten feelings and emotions, usually of extreme loss.
    • Respise - Another character you choose gains some of their vital energy and health back. No need to go to a hospital.
    • Becalm - Everyone in the area has to work at their willpower extra hard to make any aggressive actions. Frenzied creatures stop and anyone about to pull the trigger trhinks twice--no, three times.
    • Suspend - All non-human, non-Earthlike realms are sealed off and shut for the duration of your choosing. Including Umbra, Death, the Shadow Realm, and the Under World.


    Zeal

    Defender
    • Ward - An invisible electric charge moves through you and keeps all but the strongest foes completely away from you.
    • Rejuvinate - Automatically heal one's self every ten minutes, damage like bashing and the like. Lethal damage is rejuvenated at 3 hour intervals. (This is constant)
    • Brand - Touch something and it burns a mark into them (a single lethal damage) and it cannot be healed ever until you remove it yourself.
    • Champion - Your character becomes what the target hates/needs/desires/finds interesting/whatever. Its attention is focused solely upon you and only you.
    • Burn - Anyone who touches you takes two lethal damage, burning their flesh.


    Judge
    • Discern - To see when you otherwise wouldn't be able to (pitch darkness, dazzled, blindfolded, or even with no eyes at all), or to notice minute and otherwise unnoticable details that reveal the specific nature of a supernatural creature (a vampire doesn't breathe and moves a certain way, werewolves breathe just a bit differently, etc...).
    • Burden - You glare at the target, and even if you aren't looking at him directly they are unable to move as long as they are in your line of sight. They can still able to use supernatural range powers and attack if you move too close, and those with supernatural speed or "teleportation" can try to escape.
    • Balance - Yell or curse at a target and they lose one ability such as strength or super speed for one hour.
    • Pierce - Almost impossible to lie near you. OR You touch a person and see their last encounter with the supernatural, or touch a supernatural and can pinpoint a specific person/place/thing/time in their memory.
    • Expose - Normal people become aware of the supernatural creatures in their presence no matter how they try to hide themselves. It does so by revealing their most horrific aspect.


    Avenger
    • Cleave - Your character empowers a single held weapon (item) or manifests a weapon where there none was before.
    • Trail - Touch someone and they will forever leave behind a yellowish smoke that only you can see and follow.
    • Smolder - A cloud of smoke is either created or in some cases actually exhaled, and surrounds the character with a dark cloud that hinders attacks on him and muffles sounds within the cloud (gunshots aren't any louder than a loud snap, etc.)
    • Surge - Supernatural strength, damage absorption, and speed for a scene.
    • Smite - "The Wrath of God"...you try to make your target instantaniously combust...there's a blaze of light, a thunderclap, and the smell of brimstone. It's like a small explosion and has similar effects on the surrounding area.


    Vision

    Visionary
    • Forsee - See a flash of two possible outcomes for your immediate action and choose the path you like.
    • Pinpoint - Your character learns a weakness about the creature (Stake? Sunlight? Silver?). You can find out where it is too.
    • Delve - "Let me see what really happened." And you can see a glimpse of the events from a scene that occurred there at any time within the last year.
    • Restore - Once per scene, turn any lethal damage into non-lethal. Even growing back eyes and limbs if that's what happened.
    • Augur - See into the immediate future. Stuff up to a year is clear, anything beyond that is blurry. Sound is impossible.
