Dating TAs in College

I lot of people I've talked to lately think that there's something wrong about my relationship with my boyfriend. He's 27, I'm 21. I'm a 4th year undergrad in English, he's a Master's student and a TA in English. He isn't my TA, and never has been. And never will be. Professors could care less, but other students seem to think I'm doing something illegal. And my friends think he's too old for me.

I just think it's funny that people think we're an adorable couple until I mention his job or his age.

I figured out why everyone was acting so weird!

Yesterday I was talking with a friend of a friend who is in first year. She said she was having trouble with an assignment and I told her my bf could help her narrow down expectations and whatnot. Then she goes, "Oh! so you're the one dating professor so-and-so!"

It turns out there was a rumor going that I was dating this 33 year old associate prof. He and my bf are kinda chummy...so I guess people must have seen the three of us out somewhere and got it all fucked up.
