The reason i hate it so much is because sometimes I'd rather learn from doing. If I have a plan that fucks up royally, well, I know not to do that again. And even if I ASK for advice, I don't want a fucking book written on the subject with puked out references from the internet and how I'm wrong because I'm a teenager.

yeah, I'm the same way. my parents kept telling me it was a terrible idea to move out, god forbid. they said it'd fail and i'd end up just coming home. they didn't expect me to make it a month. either that or i'd be coming over constantly and begging for help. i told them that i wanted to do it myself and learn from my experience, rather than sit at home in a little box, too afraid to take chances, make mistakes, and get messy.

well, guess what? it's been five months so far, and no mishaps. in fact, THEY'RE the ones that want me to come over constantly and offer to buy us shit--i haven't asked for anything.
